EATING OUT
LOCAL RESTAURANTS: There are many restaurants in the surrounding area, including Carrabba’s Italian Grill, the Chinese Restaurant, Giordano’s Pizzas, Outback, Themed Australian Steak House, Dairy Queen Ice cream parlour, TGI Fridays American hamburgers, Japanese Take away Sushi, Subways Take away sandwiches, Cracker Barrel, all on the Winn-Dixie Plaza, the local shopping mall. These usually all deliver free.
Macaroni Grill (Italian), Tony Roma’s Ribs, McDonalds, Tex-Mex Chilli’s, Dennys, Ponderosa and many many more all situated on the 192. A word of warning however, American meals are huge…… remember this when ordering. It may be wise to order a starter and main course only if you think you can take it …. We dare you! The Olive Garden on International Drive , near the top towards Universal is worth a visit….all you can eat at the Ace China Buffet, right out of Lindfields about half a mile. African Buffet-Boma at the Animal Kingdom……another all you can eat Sunday Brunch-The Rosen Centre or Rosen Plaza, International Drive near convention centre. Ring up on the day to see who is doing what! ALSO, our favourite, Race Rock on International Drive , a must for racing car enthusiasts. Push the boat out with a Champagne brunch at the Renaissance Hotel, next to Seaworld…costs about $40.00. Explore the information folder in the villa for other recommendations. There is no dress code in the restaurants, but if you are unsure, just give them a ring. AND they love children!!
LOCAL SHOPS
LOCAL FOOD SHOPS: We have a local SHOPPING PLAZA located on the which is situated approx. one mile from the house on Highway 192 adjacent to the Old Splendid China turnoff. This has a WINN-DIXIE MARKETPLACE, which is open from 6am until Midnight . There are also two Publixs on the 192 one just before the Lindfields turnoff and one a mile after the turnoff going towards the Interstate 27…. both stay open at the same times usually 7am to 10pm . We also now have a Cracker Barrel which is good for deli and breakfast. A new Super Wal-Mart has opened 5 minutes away on the Interstate 27….go out through Lindfields and turn left onto the 192. Head towards the I 27………get onto the I 27 and head towards Clermont …about half mile up you will come to Cagans Crossing, turn left and it is in front of you. Takes about five minutes from the house to the new Wal-Mart. You can buy absolutely everything here you need and so much choice!!!
